geggle 0 Posted June 10, 2006 I Need some input on a good backup P&S camera and housing. I am moving into dSLR territory soon. Right now I shoot a cp5000/ike and absolutely love its macro capabilities. I need some suggestions on which P&S to use as a backup/ fun camera. Here are some of my "wishlist" capabilities: 1) minimal shutter lag 2) good/great macro capabilities 3) ability to use/adapt WA wet lens to housing 4) compact dedicated housing (this is a backup afterall (read carry-on) 5) ability to use either Inon or Ike strobes any suggestions would be appreciated Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
JackConnick 76 Posted June 10, 2006 There are several, but I think the Fuji E900 along with the Inon strobes is a very good system and will do everything you like. It works with Ike strobes, but not well, as their is a sizeable lag both shooting and in flash recycle. They are fairly cheap, as is the housing; each ~$300. pbella29 0 Posted June 11, 2006 i also would like some suggestions with regard to best p&s giving minimal shutter lag... i posted a similar thread and got some great answers but the shutter lag issue is what will finally make my decision - until i get some confidence about lag i'll hold off buying anything.
