ITTL Converter can anyone explain?

Can anyone explain how a Ittl converter works. I have a Nikon D70 in a Subal housing with Inon 220 strobes. Will it work with this set-up?

Yes, it will work with your setup. For strobe compatibility on the D70 with the Heinrichs Weikamp ITTL board, look here:

We normally wire this board into a Subal housing so that the end user can unpug the board themselves and then go back to full manual mode without having to unsolder any connectors.
