Hi All,

I found these strobe arms, manufactured by Fantasea. They seem to be very reasonably priced. Is there anyone who has experience with them? Yesterday i ordered two 23 cm + 31 cm arms for my Inon Z-240s for 224 USD which should fit my Hugyfot housing. BTW, the arms are black anodized instead of the aluminum color on the pictures.

cheers, udo

Hi Udo,

I am about to order the same kind of arms as you did. Do they have complete arms, or do you have to by them as separate parts (clamps etc) ?

What parts from Fantasea do i need for two complete arms used mainly for wide angle photo?

I ordered everything separately which is fine for me. I have balls that can be attached to my housing and handgrips already. So for two arms i ordered 6 clamps, 4 armpieces, 2 ballends + 2 screws for attaching my strobes. The arm lengths i ordered are 23 cm en 31 cm (9 and 12 inch) which i think it's suitable for WA. For macro i probably will use only 1 segment per arm, but i'll hae to figure out.

cheers, Udo

Hi Udo ,

these arms are not manufactured by fantasea only distributed .... Fantasea is only a brand not a manufacturer ..... I know the producer of the arms about one year befor fantasea discovered them.

If you have seen the fanatasea produkts you will see most of them are even delivered under the brand 10bar, but 10bar is also only a brand .... not the manufacturer..... In a few months a new european brand is comeing up and you will able to buy all these items and mouch more at a shop in your home country being listet under the brand ..... This is just a flashlight above what is comeing up.

I haven't seen these arms yet, but they look to be pretty nice quality. They have a triangular profile, which should be quite sturdy. There is a price increase coming qucikly, like in the next few days.

I received my package today!! Who manufactures these arms i don't know (honestly i don't mind too, it's the product that counts), but they seem top be robust so i'm happy with them, no more collapsing strobearms!!! I noticed that the prices have gone up quit a lot, but fortunately i received everything at the old lower prices (for example a clamp was 15,50 USD and now they're appr. 30 USD....) Lucky me!!!!

cheers, udo

I just bought few items form Fantasea (clamps and ball mount) but saw also the other products in this line, As Udo wrote its looks robust and good quality, the clamps are close to the UL model but with some improvements (according the company), there is a perfect match to my UL parts.

The prices are gone up since it’s a different product, the old ones where some kind of plastics, thus are aluminum (black btw, not silver as in the pictures)
