JCharles 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Ikelite has informed me that they now have a new port body for their 8" dome for use with the Canon 10-22mm .... the #0076.22. My dome is now currently at Ikelite for installation of the new port body and pressure testing. JCharles
AengusM 0 Posted November 12, 2006 Do you mean #5510.22? When I got my port and body combo, it was a #5510.80. Does anyone know which current body matches the body that came with the #5510.80? I did get confirmation that the body on the #5510.80 was rated to 60 metres. Cheers, Aengus
Cerianthus 55 Posted November 12, 2006 On ikelite's web site description http://www.ikelite.com/web_pages/dabigadoma.html it is on the bottom left.
AengusM 0 Posted November 12, 2006 Thanks, but I'm talking #5510.80 not .81/.82 or .83. (unless my supplier has the number wrong on the invoice?) Aengus
JCharles 0 Posted November 13, 2006 Do you mean #5510.22? No, the 5510.22 is what is listed on their website, the one I listed is new and not on the website yet ... the number is as I wrote it: 0076.22 Contact brett@ikelite.com for more info. Aloha!
UWphotoNewbie 1 Posted November 13, 2006 (edited) Just got my new #5510.22 to replace the original 5510.16 . Great job on this one Ikelite. From D70 Housing is here!my post when my D70 housing arrived: Ike wrote: Seems like a real company would mark some identification on the different ports............? Well now you've finally done it. I'm very impressed with the quality of the new 8" dome system. And on my new 5510.22 port body next to the new "60m rating" label is... wait for it...: "#5510.22" clearly stamped on the body. Good Show Ike! Edited November 13, 2006 by UWphotoNewbie
AengusM 0 Posted November 15, 2006 (edited) Ah, the 5510.80 was the Aquatica dome. I ordered mine when Ikelite were moving to their own, so I received the new dome but the old part number on my invoice from the supplier. Whats interesting is that it looks like my body is the #5510.16 and it has been working fine with the 10-22! That said ordering #0076.22 today as the 10-22 will go to 60m and will use the #5510.16 for the EF-S 18-55. UWphotoNewbie 1 Posted November 15, 2006 (edited) You mean that you need the 5510.22.... If you have the new all Ikelite dome then you need the 5510.22. I originally had the 5510.16 for my 12-24mm, as it was the first one recommended for that lens a year ago. I think the 5510.22 will just be a little better dome position for the 12-24mm and 10-22mm. It looks like Ikelite has done some fine tuning. I wonder if Ikelite is still planning on flat ports for this new system? They took the statement off their new website for the 8" dome port? I'm hanging on to my old 105mm lens and port to see what they are planning for the 105mm vr. Edited November 15, 2006 by UWphotoNewbie
