Just a Newbie needing an advice...

Hi all .

Im Idan kima , 24 Year old, diving instructor from eilat - israel... and looking to share some photos on this cool website... !!

im using an olympus C5060WZ camra with a PT-020 olympus housing (and an orange filter) ... hope to improve soon on some new gear .... :P

 

until i do... these are my pictures.

...and you will do even better when you can get your strobe farther from your lens!

I've got to be twice your age before taking photographs as good as yours! Some thoughts:

 

Try leaving off your orange filter when using the strobe, then look at the difference in the colours, you might prefer it.

 

The hardest lesson that I have learned is not to dive and expect to be able to shoot anything that turns up. The best images are taken when you have a particular subject in mind and set up your camera to deal with that subject. SLR photographers pick a lens for the job, then strobes, filters or whatever. Sometimes you get it wrong! But images of the same subject are different when taken with different equipment:

hi all sorry for the delay .... but thanks alot for all the comments!!!

o and advices!!! (but dont have cash to buy a strobe) :D

 

and wolf eel - wow some great tips there but i know already that you cant realy get evry thing you see .... and evry body know that the absolut best shot is the one that you just dont have the camera or the right len for.... :D sucks ...
