yokomb 0 Posted February 25, 2007 Hi, I have a Nikon D70s with an Ikelite housing (iTTL capability). I also have a Nikonos SB-105 strob that I am trying to use with it. I am trying to use the stobe on manual mode (full / 1/4 poswer). The strobe fires but the timing seems to be a bit off. Its too close to notice by listening, but the camera just isn't picking up the strobe. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have tried setting the D70s to rear curtain sync, but it doesnt seem to help. Thanks, Brett Yokom
dragan 2 Posted February 26, 2007 Did you turn off the pre-flash?
JimG 26 Posted February 26, 2007 That surprises me. I have always believed the SB105 would work in M mode with any digital camera. I have three and they work just fine with my Canon 5D. I only shoot in M on the camera as well - are you doing that?
bruceterrill 0 Posted February 26, 2007 What ike sync cord are you using? The cord should be the manual one and the contacts on the hotshoe should be taped so that only the trigger and earth on the side are making contact... Bruce
