UKDiver 0 Posted February 26, 2007 I've seen a few posts that say "keep the Nikon 18-200 lens topside, but nobody has explained why. I was wondering, given a dilema of lens choices, whether the range offered by the 18-200, what the downside was? All thoughts appreciated UKDiver
davichin 18 Posted February 26, 2007 It grows a lot when zoomed so it would be very difficult to house it. I think you would need strong diopters because its close focus distance of 50cm...
UWphotoNewbie 1 Posted February 26, 2007 Ikelite does not recommend this lens for any of its ports. I think its a fantastic travel lens ( I have one) but I would bring a 12-24mm, 10.5mm 60mm or 105mm underwater instead.
philmayer 0 Posted March 27, 2007 I asked Ikelite about it and they sait there was no way to engineer a port because of the change in length from 18mm to 200mm.
