jetlife2 0 Posted March 4, 2007 Hello all I have a single handle tray with an ike housing. Presently I have one DS50 and I'm adding a second. I'm considering ULCS arms. It is possible to get a ULCS tray with one handle (left) and a ball adapter on the tray base (right) so you end up with one handle and two strobe arms. Today, with the single left side handle, I hold the handle on the left, and the right side of the housing next to the shutter release. Because the housing is smooth this can be tricky, and is harder with gloves on. Seems to me this is a no-brainer, that you want dual handles with dual strobes. But clearly there are people who use this setup so there must be pros and cons? Right away I guess it occured to me that it may not be possible to reach the shutter while holding the right side handle. What is the wisdom on this issue? What are your experiences? Thanks all
jlyle 8 Posted March 4, 2007 Two handles. 1) at times you will want to grab both sides of the rig. 2) balance is better with two handles - with one handle, you have more weight one side, and the camera tends to torque away from the non-handle side. 3) chicks dig two handles...
