sharky1961 2 Posted April 23, 2007 Hello, I read on the Sea&Sea page that the Y120 has a colourtemp of 5100°K and with the diffuser 4800°K is this really truth? So the colourtemp of the ys-120 should be the same as the subtronics and ikelite strobes, can someobody confirm this? Rob
Islandbound 1 Posted April 27, 2007 How do you actually confirm a color temp of a strobe?
craig 0 Posted April 27, 2007 You can use one of these: Gossen Color Pro 3F http://www.calumetphoto.com/item/GS4050/ You could also take a image of a gray card illuminated by the strobe and use a white balance tool to analyze it. You may only get a relative measurement that way.
bvanant 190 Posted May 1, 2007 How do you actually confirm a color temp of a strobe? There are lots of tools that can be used to measure the color temp of strobes on land. Underwater the problem gets much more tricky since the color temp will depend a bit on distance to the object you are shooting and the background color of the water.
