Greetings!  I dive weekly in the cold waters of the Pacific Northwest, USA where I live but also enjoy multiple trips each year to warmer waters.  I do underwater video and want to improve!  I have an Olympus TG6 set up and am looking to upgrade (and be able to respond to classified ads of people selling their camera gear) :)

Here's a link to some videos I've done so far.   https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRAq4N8FbXo61ZEeTydz2RA?view_as=subscribe

Hi, I'm new to diving, just got my Open Water PADI, and I'm from The Netherlands.

Just bought a SeaLife DC2000 duo set 3000.

Hoping to make some nice uw pictures, and to get some tips and tricks from the experienced users.

Hello!

My name is Louise, I am from Sydney, Australia!

I have been taking photos underwater since I was quite young, but have taken it more seriously in the past year or so. Just about to head to Indonesia for a month of diving! Look forward to reading and learning from other members!

Hello,
I'm Bernie, from Vancouver, Canada.  I'm a PADI Specialty Instructor (qualified for MSDT, but never applied for the cert, no need to Put Another Dollar In yet again).  My main diving areas are in SE Asia, I've given up coldwater diving (recalling the horrors of doing my OW in 3C water, AOW in 5C, and Rescue in 8C), so sold all my coldwater gear.  I've taught in Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.  I don't teach diving full-time, though, I'm a prof, so have my "real job" here in Vancouver.
I recently changed photo rigs, to a Nikon D800 with Aquatica housing.
I also have the Paralenz, which takes great video, but it is so wide angle you have to do a lot of editing.  It's a bit of a trick to get used to how you move your head since the only real way to control what you actually capture in Paralenz is to mount it to your mask (it has no viewfinder nor usable screen).  You end up then piecing short clips together to make any useful video.
I also have older GoPros, no real need to upgrade since every time you have to replace most of the accessories (annoying part of their business model), so I have a few of the 3/3+/4 GoPros with all the giz one could ever need, but I rarely use them anymore.  Maybe I should sell them....

Hi!  I’ve been diving about 8 years now and find it just as exhilarating now when I get in the water as I did the first time.  I love photography and have had a blast taking uw photos over the past years.  I just bought a new set up and an eager to spend some time in the water with it.

Hi all!

Mine name's Daylon and I'm from the Dallas Fort-Worth area of Texas. Been diving about 25+ years and recently completed my full Trimix last Feb in Cozumel (hit 330'!). Had an older Aquatica d200 housing and rediscovered WetPixel after about 10+ years of being away to look for a possible source to upgrade my D200 Aquatica for one that would support my newer Nikon D800e.

Hope to meet some of you in person and maybe share a dive with you in the future!

Hello everyone. I’ve been taking photos since the age of nine when I read the marketing on the back of a Popsicle wrapper that asked for so many wrappers plus one dollar to get the free Kodak Instamatic 126 camera. Now I'm working for Apknite in my free time.

Hi there. I am Denver from the US but have been living in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and been diving most of Asia and been loving it.

I would want to further my knowledge in underwater photography and would also want to take the step to the next level of my camera from an Olympus OMD EM 5 Mk II to a Nikon D500.

Also, if anyone is planning to dive Asia, I could help advice and answer questions you have.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Trevor Pottelberg.  I'm a professional landscape photographer from Ontario, Canada.  I purchased an underwater housing and some lights a year or so ago and have been slowly getting into underwater photography via snorkeling local lakes and reservoirs.  The end goal is to get my dive certificate but I have eustachian tube dysfunction in my left ear.  Until I can get that cleared up, I'm stuck with just snorkeling.

I'm really excited to be a part of this community and I hope to learn a lot from everyone!

Hi everyone,

My name is Hannah and I am a surf videographer and looking into learning more about underwater photography to enhance my all around shooting capabilities. My new SPL housing just arrived for my Sony a7iii and I can't wait to film and shoot this weekend with it. I used to use an Olympus D3200 waterproof camera for all of my work but thought it was time to upgrade and become more professional.

My name is Phil Elsasser.  I am a PADI instructor and photographer as well.  I live in Colorado, but try and get to the Ocean as much as possible to dive.

I started out shooting an Olympus TG4 and have since upgraded to the EM1 MK2 and have loved every minute of it!

Thanks,

Hello,

I'm Manos from Greece diving for about 3 years now with ~200dives. About half of my dives have been with a camera (sony a5100 with the 16-50 kit lens, meikon housing, single S&S YS-02 strobe and usually an Inon UCL165-M67 +6 diopter.

Mostly interested in macro for now but not only.

Thanks,

Manos

Hi,  I am a diver living in East Tennessee near Knoxville Tennessee.     I am Naui certified in Advance Diver, Nitrox, and Open water.    I have been diving since 2010 and have drove all over the Caribbean.    I just hit the mark of 200 dives at the Coco View Resort in Roatan.   Have been reading the forum for a few months and it seems to have great information being shared by serious divers.
