Mary Malloy 0 Posted October 5, 2007 (edited) Is everyone happy with their wide angle zoom lenses? I did a series of tests with my Tokina10-17 and Nikon 12-24 lenses. There was, what I call, a lot of ca towards the edges both below and above the water. My subject was a shower curtain with bold solid colours and high contrast. I admit, not exactly the conditions one might encounter underwater. Am I being too fussy? The images are crops at 100% of small sections near the edge of each frame. What does annoy me is corner softness. In this regard the Tokina 10-17 seems to really beat rectilinear WA lenses, zooms at least. //LN
