Hey wetsuit warrior,

I have a sea & sea ys 50 and use it with my olympus sp-350 p&s. I bought a digital adapter made by Heinrich Weiskampf, and find that it works great. It allows ttl and also works with the pre flash of the sp-350. Here are some pics of my setup and also some pics with the flash. It screws onto the end of the cord and works off of the internal flash. You should put a piece of plastic or old film negative in front of the internal flash so it doesn't interfere and cause backscatter.

Hey Zoro,

I just got rid of my SP-350 but loved the Sea&Sea 16mm lens. Maybe its just the angle but you should check out the thinner adapters for the lens. It will cause less vignetting. I think I had no vignetting at an aperture of 2.9. Anyway, nice photos. BTW, there is also a cable made by Athena which accomplishes the same thing without an internal adapter.

cheers,

Hi CE4JESUS,

How do you like the new camera? I just got a nikon d40 and am working on getting it housed. I can't wait to not have the shutter lag. Maybe then I won't get so many tail shots of fish. LOL. Until then the oly is my baby u/w. Learning a lot about photography topside by shooting the d40, and anticipating better results with both cameras. Now I just have to get in the water more.

No problem Neo,

Zoro - I love the camera. I've only taken it into the pool so far but its very responsive. I'll probably be heading to Oahu for business at the end of the month so I might sneak in a dive or two out there. I also just purchased an Inon Z240...what an awesome little strobe. I've been trying to learn the rig around the house but with all that stuff it weighs a ton topside. In the water, its not much more negative than my old Oly SP-350. Yes...had my share of fish butts in the past. Now I'm hoping for a few more headshots!!!

Gary
