tankado 0 Posted March 14, 2008 Here are some of my favorite photos. Woody Diopter and Closeup filters were used to get these tight shots. Except the first image I used a 10-22 wide angle lens on that one. He was huge.
Steve Williams 0 Posted March 14, 2008 Beautiful Jeff! I'm in love with the third image. Everthing about it is perfect. At first blush these have a lot of contrast on my screen. Are you doing something different in processing? It might be me, too much partying last night . Steve
Alex_Mustard 0 Posted March 14, 2008 I really like the directional lighting on the stonefish. Really nice. Alex
tankado 0 Posted March 14, 2008 (edited) Steve To create these high contrast images - I started using Custom Picture Style from Canon. Instead of the standard "Portrait, Standard, Landscape and etc" http://web.canon.jp/imaging/picturestyle/file/index.html You can upload up to 3 into your custom settings for your Canon 40d. Read the instruction on how to upload them to your camera. Autumn - works great for Pygmy Seahorses Nostalgic - works best when shooting wide angle - it gives a ghostly look which I like. Thank you Dr. Alex Cheers Jeff One of my favorite pictures - but this was shot in Davao (Samal Island) Edited March 14, 2008 by tankado
diverdon 1 Posted March 14, 2008 Is the first fish a Stargazer or a stone fish? any way great shot! DO you have any good advice on where to stay or who to dive with in Anlio, I have spent a lot of time in Sabang, and I would be interested in doing Anlio someday but I would like to make sure I end up diving with a nice operation, and that I get good value. In Sabang I pay P900/dive tops and I get to dive my gauge and my computer with no hassles. Most of the places I see on the internet in Anlio seem to want to charge more? I would like your input. tankado 0 Posted March 14, 2008 (edited) According to my friends it is a Synanceia verrucosa It was huge about the size of a basket ball buried in the sand. Sir I don't know the policy about giving advice about things like that. So I just send you a PM instead. Edited March 14, 2008 by tankado
