Look at the size of that housing!! haha bet the excess makes mine pale in comparison! IMAX? LOL. There was a couple of good specials I had seen about IMAX U/W filming and try to think of that everytime I think am "lugging alot of equipment" through the airport. MikeVeitch 0 Posted May 12, 2008 I remember having to haul Howard's small F900 housing around for a week... took two of us most of the time... didn't want to ask how much would cost us if we dropped it... can't imagine the IMAx beast

TheRealDrew 0 Posted May 12, 2008 It's for sale: http://www.howardhall.com/for_sale.html Might be worth it if I could get shots like he does, but my guess it will not help I love seeing his footage. Beautiful.
Empty V 0 Posted May 13, 2008 I vaguely remember reading somewhere that an IMAX camera and housing weight about 400lbs, crazy. Now that would be expensive if you had a jam in the gate. Billy
jonny shaw 16 Posted May 13, 2008 Yeah I heard some other rumour that 30secs of IMAX film costs around $20k US????? Little bit more expensive than a mini DV tape!!!!!!

Steve Douglas 16 Posted May 23, 2008 I've known Howard and Michelle for a great many years now. When I owned my dive shop in Del Mar, Ca. they would frequently come in to pick up this or that. Everyone in the shop had a crush on Michelle. A few years ago, I was invited to the San Diego premier of 'Isle of the Sharks'. What struck me as amazing and gives positive impressions was that when everyone was filing in at the Imax theater, Michelle was herself, at the door checking people off and greeting everyone who showed up. She certainly wasn't a prima donna backstage getting ready for some high faluten grand entrance. I don't get to see either Howard or Michelle too often, usually about once or twice a year, but they are both very gracious individuals. Steve B)
