how much zoom you can do with the short port?

does short port produce any dark edge when using macro lens??

hope it can do half of the zoom length, then it might solve my problem.

:)

Hi sweesin,

You can zoom a little over 50% One has to be careful not to zoom more cause the lens jams. You then have to switch off the camera and switch it on again.

No dark edges when using macro lens. But with the wide angle one has to zoom out a little to avoid dark corners and vignetting at the edges.

Hi Girelle,

I started thinking that patima must have a really short port after reading your reply and read this on their site under wide angle lens:

http://www.uwcam.com/eng/products/sub2_1.html

"When the exclusive port for wide angle is applied 67 mm mount wide lens is able to be used. The zoom must be fixed to maximum so it is not possible to use zoom "

Why then do you need another port as the site says for normal lens, when you can fully zoom out on the short port ??

Also if you are fully zoomed out wont this decrease the angle of view ?

Sorry just got a little confused on the above..and thought i should ask, as i realy liked the look of this housing and how compact it is.

Cheers,
