cor 0 Posted July 15, 2008 We find those on quite a few urchins in the USVI as well. There's also often bumble bee shrimp around.
Alex_Mustard 0 Posted July 15, 2008 Very cool, Mr Laz. I remember finding a bumble-bee at your "poor mans lembeh" within a couple of minutes of diving there with you. Hoping to get in again on Friday. Alex
laz217 0 Posted July 15, 2008 Thanks, Herb. I guess I could also call the place the "Warm Water Monterey." You still diving out there? I haven't seen some of your Monterey stuff in a while. I haven't seen a Bumblebee shrimp around here in quite some time. I keep looking at every single urchin or sea cucumber I pass by and I have yet to see one. They used to be quite abundant before the hurricanes stirred things up a bit here. Alex, I heard you were gonna be in town. That's great! Hopefully we'll get the chance to dive before you leave on your Bahamas trip. Laz
cor 0 Posted July 15, 2008 Laz, you should post some of your microscope photography, that stuff is amazing. Very nice shot of the shrimp as well, I generally cant get them that nice. Sneaky buggers.
