After several months on dry land... I finally got to dive this weekend.

I like the stargazer - wish I'd seen one when I was there.

 

They are all nice shots - but I think they can benefit from a bit more contrast tankado. You may want to play w/ the blacks slider in PS to adjust the blackpoint.

Thanks Gary - My friend Liz spotted this Nudi for me. Upon closer inspection, I noticed it had 5 Rhinopores.

 

I like the stargazer - wish I'd seen one when I was there.

 

They are all nice shots - but I think they can benefit from a bit more contrast tankado. You may want to play w/ the blacks slider in PS to adjust the blackpoint.

James - forgive my ignorance - where can I find that option?

 

I just borrowed a Monitor calibrator from my brother, but each time i use it, I get different colors in Photoshop. It is very frustrating.

What looks ok on my computer, looks like crap on another.

 

I am going to save up for a nice monitor calibrator for X'mas.

Are you using the raw converter? If so, it's the shadows slider - which usually has a default of 5. If you bump it up until the histogram starts hitting on the left you will add a lot of "richness" (don't know what else to call it) to your photos. That's just my opinion/style though.
