Looking for nikon close-up lens 6T

I'm looking for a nikon close up lens 6T (62mm, +2.9 diopters)

Sadly, I have been advertising for months looking for Nikon 5T and 6T 'close-up' filters. . . . .

I have only been able to locate and purchase one Nikon 3T for my Nikkor 105mm 2.8D.

Terry from ULCS advertised a couple last week, but they were snapped up before the ink dried on his advert. . . .

As a substitute for the Nikon 5T you could purchase a Canon 500D.

 

I was looking for a 5T also, but couldn't find one.

Finally I purchased a Canon 500D 72mm with a 62-72 stepup ring for use with

the Nikon 105VR.

 

Try a search on the wetpixelforums and you'll find more threads about the canon 500D.

You can certainly use the Canon 500D if you so wish, although;

Nikon 5T = + 1.5 diopters

Canon 500D = + 2.0 diopters.

There is a definate variation between the two filters...

That's true... But if you can't get hold of a Nikon 5T or 6T

the Canon 250D and the 500D are good alternatives...
