allen 4 Posted January 8, 2009 (edited) Patima has announced their G10 housing: http://www.patimahousing.com/eng/products/sub2_1.html It would appear that it is similar to their G9 housing in that is has two ports and has 67mm threads. So along with this housing, 10Bar's http://www.10bar.com/new_hous-g10.htm and Fish-Eye's http://www.fisheye-jp.com/cg10/index.html There are a some nice aluminum housings out there for the Canon G10 Edited January 8, 2009 by allen
hanachan 1 Posted January 8, 2009 They are very good but expensive for me. So this is my G10 housing:
bkennedy 0 Posted January 18, 2009 (edited) OK I'm not that up on the differences between the housings, so can someone help me ? Do either of the aluminum housings allow true ttl or are they both triggered by fiberoptic cable? I thought the ikelite was not triggered by a fiberoptic cable, but triggered electrically? All three allow fiber optics which with at least Inon allows true ttl. I am not familiar enough Sea&Sea. The former two allows electronic firing. I do not know if there has been electronic circuitry developed for electronic tttl.
hart 0 Posted January 23, 2009 (edited) hanachan, I'm currently researching housing for G10s. Just wondering, is that a macro lens? Who is the manufacturer, and of course, are you happy with the results? thanks, hart Edited January 23, 2009 by hart
aussie 0 Posted January 23, 2009 Good to see there's a lot of options out there. If I were looking into getting one though, I'd be paying close attention to which offers attachment wide angle lenses. I know Ikelite haven't been able to figure this out yet.
ScubaJedi 0 Posted January 25, 2009 I handled the Patima housing yesterday. It's quite a beast and it allows full use of all the buttons, including the jog dial. Strobe has to be external though.

Recent modification of G10 housing was reported at the DIY section of this forum.
