I am looking to make the move from digital still to hd video. Have you used the set up you are selling, and how did you like the results? How easy was the transfer of data from camera to computer for editing?

Thanks,

Regardless of the sale...

When I researched the basic HD setup. The canon HV20/HV30 had the best reviews for low light and video quality it was named camera of the year in several articles. The close competitor was the Sony HC3. I'm the original owner of the setup and I shoot last summer a bunch of wrecks under poor conditions. Check out some of the footage on my website www.edvelasco.com (be patient and let the full video download).

I recently got an FX7 and I want to sell this to get the housing. The transfer is like any other camera using the Firewire cable, there are no issues just have to play the tape to the PC and you will get a HD file ....mpeg format. There is some debate about whether if tape is better quality than hard drive. It looks like saving directly to HardD taxes the video chip since it has to compress the video.....go wonder.

This is a great basic video to start with great results....the camera on land is superb. Not to mention that is FULL HD progressive.

Hope this helps.

Ed
