bobjarman 0 Posted July 16, 2003 Does anyone else think something in our society is really wacked up when you get assaulted for doing anything to the environment but you can do this??????? http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,92070,00.html Wow! It is stuff like this that makes me real proud to be an American. :freak:
jimbo1946 0 Posted July 16, 2003 And I thought "Survivor" was wild! You know the saying: "Nobody in America ever went broke by underestimating the taste of the general public." It gets truer every day.
craig 0 Posted July 16, 2003 from the article: "The big fear is that somebody who plays will eventually want to use real bullets." I'd say that's not the biggest fear. Underage targets, unwilling victims, or getting caught in the crossfire (reference to getting mounted after being hit). Be careful hunters! You should be required to mount every trophy. Besides I think a bow would be more sporting. The world went to hell a while ago. Didn't you get the memo?
tshepherd 0 Posted July 16, 2003 Wow, where to begin on that one.... Time to go diving and stay away from these lunatics...

Kasey 0 Posted July 16, 2003 Silly as it is, I just can't see it as such a big deal - with the exception of the "mounting," of course. I saw an article on this on CNN this weekend and there was no mention of sex. What is the difference between this and your average strip bar? Is the issue that the women are naked, as in a strip bar, or being shot at - as in any other paintball arena. For up to $2500 a play, I don't think these women are being taken advantage of. The publicity of this game will surely skyrocket after all the news coverage, but who has 10000 to play?!?
Cybergoldfish 1 Posted July 16, 2003 My sentiments too Kasey: It's hardly exploitation when the minimum expected salary is $1K and the paint does wash off! Jesus, I would do it for that kind of money!
bobjarman 0 Posted July 16, 2003 Jesus, I would do it for that kind of money! MAN I wish I would have dove with you in person Bob!....I can think of a few great zingers to throw at that remark, but discretion will take the better part of valor. On a slightly more serious note, besides being disgutsted at the idea of shooting another huming being, and then "mounting" them, regardless of what with, what really irritates me about this kind of crap is it gives an impression to the rest of the world that this is what goes on in "normal" America. The best part about liveaboards to me is the chance to meet and talk with people from different cultures/nations. I love it, and yet I am always surprised at what most think of what goes on in a daily basis in this country as normal. Oh well enough of an old mans ranting.....I am with TS, its time to go diving! craig 0 Posted July 16, 2003 Just remember the mounting part... If the customer has to pay $10K and the girls only make $1K the ratio had better be favorable. It strikes me as juvenile. Those who have that kind of cash to burn would probably seek other forms of entertainment. Frat boys ought to love it, though. To spice it up they ought to throw in a couple of she-males... Cybergoldfish 1 Posted July 16, 2003 I retract my statement, I missed the mounting part This is why I get so much crap in my intray, I never read enough of the small print BTW Bob, just WHAT were you thinking of, and does the zinger take NiMH batteries
