Scuba_SI 39 Posted February 26, 2009 Can anyone get their hands on a circuit diagram for the converter socket on the new sea and sea housings (nikon)? I bought the newest TTL Converter and it works on a S&S D300 housing when connected o the converter socket, but does not work on my Nexus D200 housing, so i figure i need to find out what is under that little plate in the top of the D300 housing. Cheers, Simon
jcclink 8 Posted February 26, 2009 Not working with Nexus may be related to the hot shoe adapter circuit within the housing. At least this was a problem with the original TTL converter & my D70 housing. S&S converters don't even work with all S&&S housings.
shchae 3 Posted February 26, 2009 (edited) Hi, You should have NCC connector on housing, not NCC V.2 or V.4. and you can get it from here; http://reefphoto.com/index.php?main_page=p...e469c417158d31e also, depends on model of TTL converter you have, you may 'melt' your houisng. (you can research old thread with my ID or 'melt') S&S is saying do not use it with other than S&S housing. Sam Edited February 26, 2009 by shchae
Scuba_SI 39 Posted March 2, 2009 Thanks for the feedback. The thing i dont understand is that i had the 2008 model converter on the housing a few weeks back and it worked fine. I'll try and source one of those parts i guess.
