matt215 3 Posted April 27, 2009 I'm considering a trip to Tiger Beach in the Bahamas and am wondering if I need to get a new lens. I currently shoot a 17-40 on a Canon 5D. The full frame sensor gives me a pretty wide field of view, but I understand that the sharks are pretty close, so I'm considering a fisheye. Is this wise, and for those of you who have been there, what canon lens (or canon compatible) fisheye is good?
james 0 Posted April 27, 2009 The 17-40L is great for Tiger beach. The sharks will look mighty small in the fisheye, but it's still a good lens to bring. I recommend the Sigma 15mm fisheye. Cheers James
matt215 3 Posted April 27, 2009 how about arms for strobes? how far out there should my strobes be?
Painted Frogfish 0 Posted May 8, 2009 how about arms for strobes? how far out there should my strobes be? Not important. You can get similar and excellent results with a pair of 8 inch arms on both sides. The 12 and 16 inch ones will be too long and unwieldy.
