supermacro from southern california

25 divers, cameras in hand, visited Anacapa Island on an LAUPS charter last week on a day trip for 4 dives.

 

Macro subjects were plentiful, and even though vis was only 15ft and surge was always present, I tried some supermacro photography and regular macro shots.

The 1st 4 photos are with the nikon 105mm + subsee +10 diopter, the last 4 are just with the 105mm.

I watched this sea lion hop up 3 steps, it wasn't easy for him to do, but he did it.

Well, the seal stole the show. :)

 

 

Absolutely :) Not to take away the fact that ..the rest of the pics are really great. Somehow the skin around its neck gives the feeling that he is wearing a collar !
