Carlos_Suarez 0 Posted June 10, 2009 To see what you think Will someone dare to include some in a contest? Best wishes
Alex_Mustard 0 Posted June 10, 2009 Both are very nice. The top one looks like planet earth. THe grouper is cool too. I wonder if you could complete the circles in Photoshop? Would not be that tough on the grouper shot. Alex
twinner 5 Posted June 10, 2009 Nice, I like it. Todd
jeremypayne 0 Posted June 10, 2009 I think the first shot is very special. I agree - looks like Earth.
DiveMasterMark 0 Posted June 10, 2009 Nice effect, Carlos. I thought it was a shot of Earth, too. Mark
rodriguezfelix 0 Posted June 10, 2009 No doubt, the first one is a winner on "Conservation" category or something like that.
alessandro 0 Posted June 14, 2009 I, like the others before me, prefer the one at the top as well. It has a nice spherical feel, it almost seems three-dimensional. The grouper is cool too, but the blurry edges and the blue top are not in its favor. Just my $0.02.

tdpriest 115 Posted July 10, 2009 (edited) They are really interesting images, but they aren't as good as they would be with a fully circular fisheye, like the Sigma (?) 8mm. You run the risk of being trumped by a different lens... http://www.flickr.com/photos/timsdiving/34...57617638465058/ Tim Edited July 10, 2009 by tdpriest

You run the risk of being trumped by a different lens... http://www.flickr.com/photos/timsdiving/34...57617638465058/ Tim I do not know if you read my message. The idea was to seek power and versatility to make a complete image or images to almost circular without changing lens. Obviously not the sigma 8mm but this lens is a fairly risky to use in a competition. Thank you for your comment and best regards.
loftus 42 Posted July 17, 2009 Excellent Carlos; I think you have shown another aspect of the versatility of this lens, even on FX, with or without a TC.
seagrant 4 Posted July 19, 2009 They are both compelling and different! Lovely! Best, Carol
