You got more light on her and the water is a nicer shade of blue. You could have used even more though. This a classic situation where you can use a B&W conversion to see if you like that better. Looks like you could also increase the sharpening some too. If you shoot straight into the sun you'll need to decrease your exposure to get the nice blue background. You can fake it in LR or PS by bringing the exposure down on the whole image and then bringing the shark up a tad; Looks nice in B&W too if you bump the contrast. cpix 1 Posted October 6, 2009 Steve has indeed made good improvements on the first shot. I think regarding the second that it was a shame the whole shark was not in the frame. It came up before in this forum that usually a subject that is nearly all in the frame does not look as good as either a more cropped subject or a whole subject. If that makes sense.
