Is this a juvie triplefin blenny?

Recommended Posts

I took this shot at the Divi house reef in Bonaire, right near the dock. The fish was so tiny (less than 1/2 in) that if it hadn't moved I probably would have missed it entirely. Can someone please help me ID this one? Thanks, Robyn

Robyn, Off the bat I think it is an orangespotted blenny, but check with ReefNet (they will probably chime in)

[Edit: Robyn, looked at this on my iPhone & now I think I am wrong. If it has the 3 fin segments it is a triplefin as you thought, I can't quite see. They are small, would be an adult] ;-) Lovely Pic!

I am pretty sure it is a triplefin (genus Enneanectes), but can't tell the species without a side view photo. Nice shot, these guys are very hard to see and get close to. It looks like an adult to me, they only grow to about one inch.
