Diving in or near Italy, in April ???

Planning a trip to Italy in mid April, any good place around to get dipped in? Even better if someone wants to dive together. How about Malta?

I'll have 2 weeks, Apr 11-24, haven't figured out the details, first time there. The trip should be mostly topside, with 3 days or so in water. Topside recommendations are also very appreciated.

Well, have a look at Malta. If you like small lonely islands make sure you visit comino, there is only one small hotel there. I have been there 4 years ago in october.

Sardinia (Sardegna) is wonderful for landscape photography above water, particularly in April when the flowers are in bloom. Downside, no classic Italian city photography.

Underwater, plenty of enjoyable diving in good visibility.
