danielstassen 1 Posted April 11, 2010 Hi Guys, Just wondering if there are websites available w/ most of the underwater workshops for 2010 and after.... Cheers Daniel
BotSO 0 Posted April 12, 2010 I don't know of a listing of workshops off hand, but can recommend both Stephen Frink and Alex Mustard. Steve's workshops are typically in the Summer and Alex leads a summer Red Sea and January Grand Cayman Workshop. I've attended both of Frink's courses as well as Alex's Grand Cayman Lighting class. I'm sure there are others, but these are the only one's I've attended. danielstassen 1 Posted April 12, 2010 Cheers Basim. I fin that many of those workshops out there are extremely expensive.
MikeVeitch 0 Posted April 12, 2010 are you looking for photo shootouts with prizes and stuff? As you are based in Indonesia there will be a couple in Indo this year for the SDAA shootouts, one in Manado and one in Lembeh i believe. Although there is no formal tuition in these but rather presentations by the judges in the evenings. I know Eric and Tony are also doing a night safari in Ambon later this year, but again, I am not sure they teach during those but rather some presentations etc.. but not sure. Or are you looking for photo tuition? There are several people around Indo who do that one on one, both in Bali (Jeff Mullins) and Lembeh (not saying any names ) I am also pretty sure Martin Edge does a class at Scuba Seraya in Bali every year for a group if you want a group workshop. Michael Aw and Matthieu Mieur also do one there each year (or at least they used to..)
chavala 0 Posted April 28, 2010 I showed up at NAD Lembeh last year with my very first camera and there was a guy there -- i think his name is Mike? -- who was extremely helpful! (and so cute!) He offers private photo workshops as well. Perfect environment for learning -- very chill.
rlx 0 Posted May 25, 2010 Hi Daniel, Are you after a workshop to learn underwater photography or for the experience and diving? Also where in the world were you looking for a workshop? It may help us answer your question. I know of underwater photography courses in lots of places, but expedition style workshops tend to be in really good dive locations which come with a price tag.
