I'm a confirmed pinni-pedophile

Recommended Posts

Had a magical experience over the last two days at Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel with a resident colony of grey seals. Water was 11 degrees with lots of particulate but the experience of frolicking with these seadogs was wonderful. Here's a few favs... second time out with a D300s in Nauticam housing (what else;) and Tokina 10-17. Thanks to Alex M for the loan of his dome port

Day one was overcast and very choppy with quite bad vis but the seals were very playful

Day two was a complete contrast, blue skies and flat calm seas. Seals were much less playful though

and my favourite of the two days was this beauty, bathing in the sun

Highly recommended to anyone, we went on the Jessica Hettie through Clovelly Charters.

Wow, some great shots there Alex, especially if the viz was not up to much. I like the 2 seals interacting and the interaction between you and the seals.

Were these shot with natural light or were there strobes involved?

Hi Alex,

The water surface and the seals pose are magic in the last one-what a great shot!
