Timmoranuk 10 Posted July 20, 2010 A friend has found himelf the owner of this strobe. I suspect its probably going to be of very little use to him unless he owns a Nikonos. Before he disposes of it, can he benefit from your kind advice? Thanks, Tim
Viz'art 24 Posted July 21, 2010 Well, it will work in manual on anything with a Nikonos bulkhead, recycling time might be on the slow side by today standard, but hey, if it works, then its worth something! Might be problematic to find a decent strobe arm attachment to accept it, if anything he could get a slave trigger and use it as a remote unit.
Paul Kay 65 Posted August 15, 2010 Its very, very old - watch the voltage it might be too high for many digital cameras and could fry circuitry!
ornate_wrasse 0 Posted August 15, 2010 As recently as a few years ago, and before I bought the Inon Z240s, I used an SB105 with my D70S. It worked just fine in Manual mode. I am not familiar with the electronics on the SB101, but if they are similar to the SB105, I don't see why it wouldn't work on manual. Ellen
