Getting insurance foe Indonesia

I have all my dive and photographic equipement insured with Divemaster UK, who have verbally assured me that this insurance is valid for my trip to Irian Jaya in December.

 

I have emergency medical cover through the IDEC and MEDEX system. Fine

 

But i am having difficulty finding insurance for the general travel, e.g. cancellation of flights, lost luggage, general medical treatments etc. because the Foreign Office advise is against any non essential travel to Indonesia.

 

This is bl@$dy irritating as you can't make any claim that results from civil unrest or terrorism anyway!

 

Does anyone know of good cheap UK based insurance that will let me travel to Indonesia?

I NEVER buy travel insurance. Just book through my MBNA Gold Card. Covers most eventualities.

 

I have no affiliation with this company, but have travelled widely - SE Asia as well -and all on the card.

 

Have just returned from Hawaii/Truk same way.
