laz217 0 Posted November 19, 2003 Got nothing but hate for you, Bob. Between the awesome shot of the Puffer and the Hawkfish actually looking at the camera, it's the finest of hate. Nice job! I've taken tons of shots of Hawkfish and they ALWAYS come out looking at my strobes. What's your secret? Now stop harassing those fish over in the Pacific and come shoot some Florida fish! We've got most of those here anyways...
Cybergoldfish 1 Posted November 19, 2003 Thanks for the Hate Laz... A friend of yours maybe - Even my loud suit was no match for this Panda Anemonefish's fangs!
herbko 0 Posted November 19, 2003 They use those fangs! One of them tried to take my fingers off when I was shooting a couple of shrimps near his home.
tshepherd 0 Posted November 19, 2003 Bob that puffer is STUNNING. The rest are only outstanding though.
yahsemtough 0 Posted November 19, 2003 I was laughing my ass off on that pixie alright. Turned out I should be crying as that is a great shot. Not a bad collection of shots, for you. Heck I thought you slept most of the trip. This is the best I was able to get of that same pixie. (and in no way compares to yours) And I must have encountered that same fish Herb did. The problem with shutter lag, we would need all day to try to get that last shot. It would be a very frustrating experience. Laz, I have dove in Florida and Bahamas alot and I do certainly enjoy it. And, I do agree there is a lot of stuff to find. But, to compare it to Lembeh and Indonesia is a stretch. The volume in Indonesia is crazy. (Don't get me wrong I have plans to return to Florida and Bahamas again (In-laws live in Ocala)
Cybergoldfish 1 Posted November 19, 2003 If you think Pixies are hard to get front-on, Try your luck with one of these things

vlad 0 Posted November 19, 2003 Hello Probably you guys know this but the fish look at their reflection in your camera lense when you are lucky enough to have an eye contact with them. Great pictures! I am (trying) to attach an eye contact of my own. Vlad
craig 0 Posted November 19, 2003 Those smaller juvie sweetlips are tough. They make a great video subject, though, if you can get a good background. Here's my pixie:
