I almost want to go back to film.

Good looking shot Bob.

At a 12" distance you must have used a fairly low power setting?

Herb Ko's demos were 1/2 and full power.

This shot proves the "Air" tests are misleading.

I will be very interested to see The Wetpixel "Wet tests"

Ha Ha, no I just cropped it to point out any burnt bits. Shame about that thing sticking up by its tail though.

Maybe a wide angle shot is a better measure of strobe uniformity. Taken with the 130 degree Inon dome lens and 2 Z220's on full power. This one is lots more impressive when viewed full size on a big monitor.

Thanks. Got tired of the "rules" of underwater photography: get close, shoot up, rule of thirds... For this one: backed up, shot down and centered the subject.

rule of thirds...

This is the one specifically for Lembeh - Look up before you ascend in case one floats past

I like what I see Mr Ko. Good example.

Even coverage over quite an area, unlike the "Air" demos.

Naked Guns or diffused?

also can you remember your shooting distance from the Reef/shoal?

Although this is a balanced or fill in type shot I would still be interested to see a totally strobe lit shot ie W/A night shot down onto sand.

Thanks for posting it.

Both strobes had diffusers on.

I don't remeber the shooting distance. My best guess is ~ 1m.

Here's another one of the same rolling fishball.
