acuevas 4 Posted December 2, 2010 This picture is one of my favorites this year because was taken during one of my best dives of 2010. A Wreck in Chile with my wife and a very good friend. Fresh water in a lake, 10° C, 103 min run time, 15 min of obligatory deco but we did more than 20 min just for fun, it was dark and the day was cloudy. This weekend in the lake and the training in the caves of Mexico are by far my best experiences of this year.
tdpriest 115 Posted December 2, 2010 I feel duty-bound to submit a Nauticam picture, rather than a Nexus one from earlier in the year: I really enjoyed working with this lionfish, happy in its native environmnent as the sun began to set over the reef. AndyC 0 Posted December 2, 2010 My best / favourite shot because it reminds me of a great trip and because i love B+W. Andy.
tdpriest 115 Posted December 2, 2010 And now I shall cheat (a time-honoured part of the "best shot" showcase), putting up my best Nexus image from the last year: Tim
Paul Kay 44 Posted December 2, 2010 Best can be 'best' for many reasons. This is mine. Best because I do like it, and also best because it was the last time I was in a dive boat with a friend who died very recently, so it will always have a significance beyond being a photo that I really like. Taken on a recent wreck in North Wales.
bentoni 1 Posted December 3, 2010 This is my favorite from the past year, and that's my wife appearing to touch the manta. (she is actually a few feet behind the manta) Taken on my only dive trip of the year in Socorro Island.

bmyates 3 Posted December 3, 2010 My favorite because it's from my first cold-water trip (Nootka Sound, B.C.):
ileiman 2 Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) One of my favourites from this year. From the "Really Deep South" cruise at Red Sea down to the Sudanse border. I bought my first dSRL set, a Canon 7D, for this trip. The amount of detail you can in this picture is amazing. I have a framed 84 by 64 cm (33 x 23 inch) print on a wall, and it is only in this size print when you truly see it all. DDT uk 4 Posted December 3, 2010 Tim I much prefer the 'Nexus' shot over the 'Nauticam' one. Does that mean you should have saved your money?
gina 9 Posted December 3, 2010 Different photos have different meanings to me, and some of my photos aren't so good technically, but they represent wonderful dives. It's so hard to pick just one! mantas of hanifaru bay by g-na, on Flickr
tdpriest 115 Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) I much prefer the 'Nexus' shot over the 'Nauticam' one. Huh! The lionfish is technically much better, if not such a dramatic subject. The dolphins are contaminated with Mustard, too... philsokol 1 Posted December 3, 2010 I had a really good year (photo-wise). This is one of my faves from my recent trip on the Damai through the Banda Sea: Heading to the Solomons in a couple days, so there's still a chance to beat it!
Simon Rogerson 0 Posted December 3, 2010 Bit of a sparse year for me, but this great barracuda provided a lot of excitement when it chased away a silvertip shark and briefly struck a triumphant pose in front of my camera. This was taken with a Tokina 10-17mm lens at its widest. Not technically that good, but you've gotta love the 'cudas in PNG.
londonsean69 1 Posted December 3, 2010 I have quite a few images from the year that are 'favourites', as it is my first year with a DSLR underwater. This one stands out for me for several reasons. The girlfriend was modelling for me, we were on holiday with friends in Gozo and I really like the light on it. I also managed to get into UWP magazine with it
sasdasdaf 2 Posted December 4, 2010 I'm not sure if this is my best shot of 2010 but it is the most memorable one. I took this in Kona in Hawaii on the manta ray night dive, where we were accompanied by 2 huge mantas doing acrobatics for 30 min. This particular shot was taken at about 3m at the end of the dive as I was ascending and the manta came straight at me, bumping my camera lightly as it went over my head. Steve Williams 0 Posted December 4, 2010 (edited) Way to hard to pick this year. I'll go with the one that brings back the fun of trying to see what the new little dome would do. Cheers, Steve Edited December 4, 2010 by Steve Williams

edpdiver 21 Posted December 4, 2010 Here is my pick from 2010. It was from Raja Ampat. 105_adj_DSC2161 batfish and pier by edpdiver It was from a great trip that marked a number of "firsts," our first trip to Raja Ampat, our first liveaboard trip, our first time diving with manta rays. Here is a link to the whole set on Flickr. I think that it was my favorite scuba trip (so far, at least). Raja Ampat and Ambon pics
