CROCS!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Another of the many attractions of Jardines de la Reina are crocodiles. There are many, but a couple are more calm than rest. One is 2 meters long and another about three. Both appear when want, although it is rare for at least a couple of times a week do not see any of these reptiles.

I put some of the images. Hope you like.

This document is an example of why be so close sometimes has its drawbacks :)

Carlos

After 31 years of running into burning buildings nothing scares me .......... Except being in the water with these "Bad Boys"

Someone called Fire Fighters brave and heroic, I know for a fact that they're just plain nuts

I admire and respect your Courage in getting the shots but I have to enquire about your sanity :)

The Split level is "jaw droppingly Good" Takes my breath away.

Great shots!

As I share the fear others have expressed, I'm curious whether you believe this fear is rational? Or is it like the fear of sharks that is overblown so long as you understand the behavior of the animals and how to avoid being confused with food?

My son, CJ, will be up for this sort of stuff.

Having been chewed at the age of 11 by a Longimanus whilst taking its photograph, at the age of 13 a croc may be a walk in the park!

Just don't tell his mother...

Awesome piccies BTW.

Awesome piccies BTW.

Every now and then you come across something photographically that makes you gasp.

This was one of those times.

Well done, these are truly superb.

Be careful though!

You should enter one of these in this weeks POTW contest..you'll win it for sure! Amazing shots.

Can you set the scene for us here. How was the croc behaving to your presence? Was it aggressive or inquisitive?

Carlos hasn't told us yet that these were a rare species of 'pygmy' crocodiles, only 15cm long. He used a 105 macro with teleconvertor to take these shots :)

The lighting on that first shot is awesome. Were these done whilst diving or with a pole cam.?

Stew

PS If the answer is " whilst diving " your totally nuts
