loftus 42 Posted February 5, 2011 (edited) As already pointed out, with Alex's run in with a Portuguese man-o-war, the stingers were out in force at Blue Heron Bridge last night and today. Edited February 5, 2011 by loftus

loftus 42 Posted February 5, 2011 your braver than me. nice shots stew Thanks Stew, I'm probably dumber as well. I was all hooded and gloved up; still got a few twinges around my mouth. Challenging things to photograph these, but really wonderful blends of color and translucency.

I got done by an unknown jelly in the Maldives a few years ago when I went night snorkelling off of my water bungalow, it was nothing like sting of one of these but painful all the same. Like Steve Williams said. plenty of rum. stew
Cp 29 Posted February 5, 2011 Pretty cool (and well placed) 7 bladed lens flare there on the last shot. What aperture (and lens)? Hope those stingers are still there tomorrow... :-) Cp

loftus 42 Posted February 8, 2011 (edited) Thanks again guys. Yeah Drew, I'm quite intrigued with these guys, think I need to add some type of additional barrier around my mask and reg so I can really get up into these guys. Here's one more in Black & White; nice and delicate I think. Edited February 8, 2011 by loftus
