Anyone know who took this image?

Recommended Posts

There is a thread on www.scubadiving.com asking who took this image. They apparently want to use it for a scientific article.

Does anyone know who the photographer is?

Thanks!

Sorry Spartacus,

In fact, it's my photo. Goes back a number of years. Night dive at Salt Pier, Bonaire.

First dive I ever did with a digital camera (Nikon D70).

If someone would be kind enough to send me a link to the thread, I'd appreciate it.

Nice capture Bob! I know I saw the photo before too, but didn't remember who took it. Is the lizardfish eating a jack?

Thank you. It is a lizardfish. I never knew for sure what it was eating.

I've been told that what is unusual about the shot is that the fish is being eaten tal first. The problem with that (from the lizardfish's point of view) is that the fin spines go down the wrong way and results in damage to the lizardfish's digestive tract.

As I said, first dive with a digital camera (it was in 2004). Came up from the dive and immediately started asking, "Who wants to buy a F100 and housing?" Never shot with silver again.

PS. The camera and housing are still for sale.

I checked over at www.scubadiving.com and it appears you've already found the thread and posted in it so, at this point, there's no need to send you the link.

Glad Kira was able to find the owner of the image. it's a fantastic image.
