Seabeast 0 Posted March 10, 2011 I've got the 550D for one week. Didn't test it in the water, but it looks well and high quality. Hugycheck system is included and I like a pressure rating to 100 meters also. Single hand control looks nice and you have full acces to the camera buttons. The small problem is with their strobe arms, which have a 24mm diameter, but the balls on the housing are 25mm. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

OkiMike 0 Posted July 8, 2011 I have the Hugyfot for the 7D with the 150m additional depth rating option and love it. Currently I use the EF-S 10-22mm lens so I need the Hugyfot Fisheye port, the 50mm extension ring, and the associated zoom gear with silicone pad. Gazpacho 0 Posted September 18, 2011 Hi Simone, I am not sure if this question is still up to date, but I´ve been shooting a D90 in a Hugy housing for 2 years. I am very happy with it. What sets the hugy apart from other manufacturers is the hugy check system, which to my knowledge is the only pre-dive check system on the market. Quite some peace of mind to know the housing is well sealed BEFORE getting into the water - once you hear a moisture alarm, it might be too late! Everything has worked just fine so far. I shoot a Tokina 10-17 and Tokina 12-24 with a dome port and a Nikon 105 with a macro port. If you have any detailed questions, please feel free to contact me. Gazpacho. Thanks a lot I will add my comments to the other owners; I have had a 40D Hugy for just short of 3 years and have just upgraded to a 7D housing. Christian K 0 Posted October 10, 2011 (edited) I also have good experience from Hugyfot. I've been shooting with a Hugy / Nikon / Inon combination since 2006 and like it. The housing is well built and nimble to transport with an ergonomic layout that was intuitive to me. The Inon strobes works very well with the Heinrich Weikamp Nikon TTL-adapter. I don't have the hugycheck system as my housing is old, but it sounds like a great idea. I have had very good experience from dealing with the factory in Belgium. My housing have been there for service and I have ordered parts and equipment a couple of times--always prompt service and parts delivered in a few days to my door in Stockholm (where I lived back then--will be moving back soon). good luck Edited October 10, 2011 by Christian K Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
John Bantin 101 Posted October 12, 2011 I've had top reliability so far after two years (enough time to wear out the tubes in two Z240 strobes) and Hugy have even made me an adapter so I can use my Sea & Sea optical dome port with my 15mm lens on a D700. ChrigelKarrer 52 Posted October 12, 2011 I have now for 4 Months my Hugyfot D7000 housing and i am very happy with it. Excellent service, excellent quality and a good price/quality relation. The Hugychek leak warner seems to work fine and the allen wrench bolts closure system avoid accidental snap-opens. The camera mountig plate is not very ergonomic, but Hugyfot is working on a new model of this plate. The Hugyfot don't have a port locking system and the bayonet mount locks in place with about 1/8 turn of the port. I put some white color on the alignment marks to see from "far" if the port is in the right position. Chris Chris, When the housing is depressurised with the Hugycheck, the port is effectively locked. I challenge anyone to remove it! Ambient air pressure and water pressure does the job.
