New Panny Cam

This looks pretty cool, I really like the AVC Intra codec, small, light, HDSDI. It ticks a lot of boxes. No need for an external recorder. Could work well underwater with a Gates super wide.

Wish there were a photo of it. The housing with monitor and port should run about 16k plus the cam and we are well over 20k. and I'm broke.

Then you'll have to get a Red Epic or Scarlet. In fact I think there's a certain lack of enthusiasm in the industry right now because everyone is waiting on Scarlet and Epic S. 422 10 bit HD is just not as cool as 4k 422 even @ 8bit, especially with a bigger sensor. I will say that if every Tom, Dick and Mary buy a Red product, 60% will find it too difficult to work with, especially in post.

So true...I actually really like this Panny cam, the AVC Intra codec is great, it has smaller chips for a massive DOF, and I'm sure the low light capability will be more than enough for 90% of underwater work. Plus no need for nano / ninja etc etc etc

Don't worry about who's waiting for Scarlet or Epic S - the bulk of the industry is waiting on budgets and funding !!
