Alex_Tattersall 90 Posted June 13, 2011 I have spent the last week in the South of France near Montpellier and did four dives in the Etang de Thau. This is a hugely rich environment for macro opportunities with abundant seahorses and species I have never seen before. Thanks to Helene Caillaud for her expert guidance, she spotted a seahorse in less than 20 seconds!. All taken with the D7000 and 60mm EFS macro and some with FIT PRO +5, +8 and +16 diopters. Seahorses Pregnant seahorse Tiny flabellina nudi laying eggs Male and female peacock blennies These burrowing anemones were everywhere so I spent some time zooming in to the tentacle ends Details of the anemone tips Lightbulb tunicates
sasdasdaf 2 Posted June 14, 2011 Wonderful shots, Alex. I would not have guessed that the macro diving was so good there! I would kill to have a seahorse shot like your first one. Also love the nudis and the blennies.

AndyC 0 Posted June 15, 2011 Great shots Alex. Never heard of "Etang de Thau" but it looks really productive and its relatively close for us. Am I right "Etang" means lake? Is it saltwater? Andy.
