(paraphrased, not direct quote) If you're shooting a 5d2 I'd say that puts you in the serious photog category... Can you do a pool test? Hang a sheet with a checkerboard pattern or something similar down the side wall of the pool, weights at the bottom edge, and take test shots from different distances (start maybe 6' away at the wide end) and at different f-stops and zoom levels. Then compare corner sharpness in the shots later (should be obvious during the test if you lose the ability to focus in the center as you move closer). I thought diopters were always going to be a trade-off between corner sharpness and vignetting at the wider end, and a dome crash at the longer end. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
