wetpixel 0 Posted August 24, 2011 Sony has released the NEX-VG20E camcorder, which has been billed as the first consumer camcorder with an interchangeable lens. The camera will shoot in HD with an AVCHD format with 50p and 25p frame rate options and will take Sony E mount lenses. It has an effective 16 megapixel resolution via a Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, with a BIONS image processor. Lastly it outputs to an SD memory card. Steve Douglas 16 Posted August 25, 2011 Does anyone know if Gates will be making a housing for it? Spoke to Rick Allen yesterday, he was the cinematographer for the Queen Annes Revenge work. He is doing some research on some of the companies in Europe who are making housings and realized that there are probably plenty of housings made there that I know absolutely nothing about as to their quality or range of housings from low to hi end cams. With Amphibico out for the count, that leaves only the Gates housings for anything of higher quality. Would be nice to be educated as to what they make over the Atlantic.
