Fire on the Water

Recommended Posts

I don't usually name images, but this one seems to ask for a name like 'Burning Reflections', 'Fire on the Water' , 'Earth, Wind and Fire' or something. Couple of versions....

These are fantastic, Jeff. The processing on the second one makes it marginally more brilliant than the first.

Very nice effect.

That is just stunning!

Loftus, would you mind if I cross-posted the image to another dive forum (obviously I would include a link to this thread).

Great creative use of two reflective surfaces to get the shot. Nicely done, nicely done!

Glad you guys like these; I am tending more towards the second one. If nothing else it starts to lead me in new directions. Plan to shoot again with Kristina in the spring.

Feedback,

How did you do this? I would love to learn this!

On the top one I would change her reflected image on the very bottom of it. Her jaw is too distorted as compared to the second photograph where it seems more natural.

Adding fire is fun to play with but I think the first one is more beautiful in my eyes....but that is not saying much.

The Meltdownman

There is no distortion of the actual image, it is essentially as shot.
