JackConnick 76 Posted January 30, 2004 For Puget Sound area video buffs: I'm reposting this from my Mac User Group. Final Cut 4 is a very powerful editing program. This should be an excellent presentation and is free to attend. It is not put on by Apple, but by users. This is from a post by the group leader. Do not reply to this board, or even to me about this info, I'm a still shooter.8) Jack --- Guy Cochran was one of the presenters at the Final Cut Pro 4 Power Tools 2 day workshop I attended at Macworld a couple weeks ago. This Guy (pun intended) really knows FCP 4, and will give an incredibly eye opening meeting 6:30 Thursday, Feb 5 at the RC. I speak from experience when I say if you want to learn a bunch about FCP4, do not miss this. He is super. PR blurb follows: Special guest speaker Guy Cochran from DVcreators.net, who is often the featured presenter at Macworld, NY DV Show, Government Video Expo, and NAB will run through a sneak preview of the super secret, still in beta "Up and Running with FCP 4" CD-ROM. As a special treat we'll see how-to use 4 new features in FCP4, need to know LiveType and how-to produce high-quality output with Compressor. Can he get through all of that in such a short amount of time? He may just have to use a powerful supercomputer (G5?) or the new Time Remapping feature! This is the rock-solid info people pay good money (and fly thousands of miles) to see and hear. One lucky member will win a seat at the highly acclaimed DVcreators.net Northwest DV Revolution workshop Feb 18-20 (a $795 value!). Two very fortunate members will receive the must-have Final Cut Pro PowerStart CD-ROM (a $79 value!) Expect to see more of Guy Cochran as he has recently relocated to the Pacific Northwest and opened studios in Mukilteo. Hollywood to Mukilteo. ----For information: http://www.dbug.org/
