Wow...my w/a heaven-- Eastern Fields!

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

:) Greeting from Jenny again! I just came back from Wetpixel's trip Eastern Fields ( trip1, from 10-20 Jan ). EF is the best w/a and big stuffs dive place i have ever been!! :)

We had the best dive condition ever and saw hammerheads, silver tips, white tips, grey Reefs, mantas, eagle rays, mobulas, turtles, millions of anthias and small reef fishes. I also saw lots of dog tooth tunas, huge schools of Jacks, Barracudas, Snapper, Unicornfish, biggest soft coral and seafans. One diver Sallie saw the whale shark in barracudas schooling site. If you like shooting w/a, i really recommend this place. :) Of course, i would like to go back soon!!

This is the link of my slideshow ( D700, tokina 10-17mm + 1.4xTC, 60mm macro)

Great shots!

...But... is that diver in the rebreather standing on the coral? (Certainly looks that way from the photo)

Thank you everyone for the great words on my images.

@ Uli Kunkel, thank you. That's angle problem. I am 100% sure the photographer didn't touch or stand on any corals.

@Dr. Claus, thank you. I shoot the sunball with quicker shutter speed and smaller aperture.

You can shoot a Tokina 10-17 on a D700 if you Zoom to 15-17 mm or use a 1.4 TC as Jenny does for the full range, may vignette a little at 10mm.

Oh, forgot to say very nice images..

Great shots, Jenny. I love wide angle, and that looks like the place to get your fix.

Nice, like the photos

Great photos, brings back great memories, I did several trips to Eastern Fields on Golden Dawn in 92/93 when I was living in Port Moresby. One of my favorite spots.

Regards

Hugh
