Steve Douglas 16 Posted June 11, 2012 Received an email from someone wanting to dive in Cabo and wanted to know if I knew of any good shops down there. I don't. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks, Steve
dougdaulton 1 Posted July 6, 2012 My wife and I dove with Cabo Deep Blue (link below) in 2006, on the recommendation of the resort where we were staying. We were newly OW certified (PADI) then and our DM, Oscar Garza, took good care of us, though he was SSI. OUr first couple of dives were pedestrian, in the bay. Not much to see, but we pretty raw divers then. Once he felt we could handle more, he took us to Los Islotes, which is about 4 hours by car/boat from Cabo, but worth the trip. It is a sea mount dead-center of the Sea of Cortez and a permanent home to a colony of seal lions. Three awesome tanks of diving. And, we saw a juvenile humpback on the way back in. I have friends that say good things about Land's End dive shop as well. LINK: http://www.cabodeepblue.com/
tdpriest 115 Posted July 20, 2012 The Cortez Club is much better for Los Islotes, being in La Pas... Tim
