Personally it's all subjective to what you want to use this type of cam for ... I think there is going to be a lot of new cams coming out in the next year or two... Or three or four lol ... Look at your clientele and then decide :) buying an EPIC to shoot weddings and holiday videos is okay if your loaded but it's just not practical ... An eye for filming and a great mind for stories etc is more important in my books... I've seen some great footage shot on 'cheaper' cameras lately... Im still waiting for some awesome FS700 footage to make an appearance :) ...

I was having a discussion with Wags on Facebook as he is just upgrading to an EX1r and I asked why doesn't he look at the Fs700? he said the same reson as many its a better camera for 'run n gun' shooting ... So I was thiking is there a lens that would match or come close to the Ex's Fuji ??? I think the 35mm equiv is around 30mm to 440mm which is pretty cool... Any recommendations?

Sounds like a school assignment wink.png

The 18-200 kit lens for the FS700 is awesome and it has possibly the best IS I've seen in addition to AF if you need it for run and gun. If all you do is run and gun then obviously the EX1 would be more suitable, but if you want a camera that could maybe add something a bit more special and can be used in many different roles then the FS700 is a better choice IMO. I have certainly had no problems using my FS100 for run and gun shooting despite its quirky layout.

Yeah Ive been searching the NET and that seems to be the POV... 18-200 is pretty cool, obviously better wide but not the length ... Still I would go for a diff lens for zoom work smile.png... Personally I'm going to stick with the EX1 for now and will hire in if I need it... At the Mo I do not need to upgrade although it would be nice smile.png... Loving the super slow mo ... I suppose I can always invest in Twixtor wink.png
