Bokeh needs shallow depth of field that is a combination of wide aperture and large sensor size

Camcorders have small sensors and don't produce good bokeh

DSLR users would be able to produce something more easily you may want to search Vimeo or YouTube

Hi there Okuma,

Use some powerful diopters (maybe a +10) and zoom in.

Blurred backgrounds are more easily achieved at longer focal lengths (zoomed in) and when focusing to a subject close to your lens.

Even though the camcorders have smaller sensors you should be able to get some nice bokeh.

Best regars, Morten

Oops, missed that one as well!

If you're shooting DSLR video then you're gonna wish you had less bokeh once you start shooting macro! :P

Get yourself a 60/105mm macro, shoot aperture 5.6-8 and get close, then you'll have lots of real nice bokeh :)

Hi Okuma,

These shots were not planned in advanced for pokeh effect. The camer used was Sony FS700.

And lens used was Carl Zeiss 24/1.8 in auto iris, auto focus mode hence the housing has no manual controls for such functions.

This why it was left to the lens, the lighting and the composition.
