diver dave1 23 Posted January 9, 2013 (edited) When I first access WP forums, I get a pop-up from TitanPoker.com. This happens both at work and at home. It sometimes happens when I switch from one forum to another as well. This started a few days ago. Anyone else get this or something similar? How do you stop it? thanks, dave Edited January 9, 2013 by diver dave1
adamhanlon 0 Posted January 9, 2013 Hi Dave, I don't get this, and have never heard of it happening. I think (and may be wrong) this may be to do with some issues with your browser and/or a malware that your have inadvertently downloaded. I'm pretty sure it is not Wetpixel related:) Adam
JimSwims 31 Posted January 9, 2013 I've also had a Titan Poker pop-up in last few days when opening WP forum on my browser. Has only happened once with no repeats. Cheers, Jim.

Dudster4242 0 Posted January 10, 2013 Has anyone else seen this? We haven't had any issues with security lately. I'm sorry if this is way off topic but I can't seem to find help elsewhere. I tried to contact the admin help but the email was kicked back. Is there something else besides email validations that I need to do before I can actually post in the forums? I would like to ask some questions in the Gear section about lenses and ports but it won't let me, Please help!

Steve Williams 0 Posted January 16, 2013 The Titan Poker pop up is real and I've got it three times in the last week. It showed up today on a brand new clean version of windows 7 on a new hard drive. My protection software caught the link and referenced this; Content on this website has been reported as unsafe kmzvtce.portrelay.com Hosted by: wetpixel.com Steve

Guest echeng Posted January 18, 2013 The next time this happens to someone, can you please post the URL from which it happened? We can look for it.
Guest cor Posted January 18, 2013 Can people that see this post their operating system and browser? There is actually a virus going on that injects ads into your browser, but I think thats IE only.
Steve Williams 0 Posted January 18, 2013 Using IE9 on a new Windows 7 load. I've only seen it the 3 times I noted above and non in the last week. Steve
Guest cor Posted January 18, 2013 Well, fresh Win7 means nothing. The average re-infection of an unpatched (fresh) Windows 7 is measured in minutes. Anyways, it could very well be something on wetpixel. A bad ad, or worse. But it could also be something totally different. Right now we just dont know. Storker 13 Posted January 29, 2013 (edited) It only seems to happen when I come into Wetpixel from using a Google search Me, too, i.e. not when I enter wetpixel directly through my bookmarks. Also it's only happening the first time I get in through Google. Dismissing the popup downloads a PDF which my antivirus program flags as infected. If I hit the "back" button and enter again through Google, I don't get the popup. Opera 12.10, Windows XPSP3 (IIRC, also on my Win7SP1 computer, still Opera 12.10) Edited January 29, 2013 by Storker
